Metal Roof Decking

Metal roof decking is a structural metal decking that's not designed to have concrete poured on top of it. It's a smooth panel without embossments. The two main types of roof decking are B Deck and N Deck.

What Is Metal Roof Decking?

It's a non-composite structural metal decking that functions as the structural substrate during roof construction. Roof deck is installed on top of the steel beams or joists. Rigid board insulation is applied to the top of the decking and a built up roof is installed over the insulation.

Metal roof deck can also be used for canopies, gates, fences, mezzanines, metal siding, and platform seating in movie theatres.

HSB-36 (B Deck)

HSB-36 is a button punch side lap style of B decking. It's a 1.5" deep metal roof deck and should not be used in conjunction with structural concrete.

HSB-36-SS (Stitch Screw Sidelap)

HSB-36-SS is a stitch screw side lap style of B roof decking. This means that the side lap is screwed and not button punched. This type of metal decking is normally used on canopies.

N-24 (N Deck)

N-24 is used in long span conditions of up to sixteen feet. It's three inches deep and can span greater distances than B Deck.

HSN3-32

HSN3-32 is three inch deep long span metal roof decking. It's an easier panel to install when compared to N-24. HSN3 is wider which means less sheets to install.
